The bin area must only be used for disposal of household refuse. The dumping of fridges , beds , microwaves , Christmas trees & the like is not allowed and is anti social. The Local Authority does collect such goods on arrangement. We encourage you to take such items to the tip at Freemens Common yourself.

Note also that glass & paper & plastic can be recycled easily , using the bins supplied for the purpose supplied for the purpose

All householders in Leicester are entitled to:

• One free collection of up to five items of bulky material every two months.
• One free collection of up to 15 items of garden waste every two months.

Domestic bulky waste and garden materials can be taken for free disposal to our community recycling centres.
